FinServ Foundation Fellows participate in two years of monthly virtual coaching calls designed to strengthen both hard and soft skills, while building industry knowledge. These sessions are led by experienced professionals who help fellows grow as leaders and prepare for long-term success in financial planning and wealth management.
At the start of the program, each FinServ Foundation Fellow is paired with a seasoned industry professional for a six-month mentorship. This personalized guidance provides valuable career insight, practical advice, and encouragement to help fellows navigate their path in the financial services industry.
The FinServ Foundation is built on an inclusive, positive community where fellows feel empowered to thrive as future financial planners and wealth managers. After completing the mentorship phase, fellows have the opportunity to attend a major industry conference, with all expenses covered, including hotel, flight, registration, and meals.
Financial services provides a critical service to millions of Americans. However, there are huge barriers to entry and success in the profession. If we want Americans to have better access to financial planning, more secure retirements, and a healthier financial future we need to attract a more diverse, inclusive, and driven group of young professionals to the profession.
The issues.
What we provide.
Our goal and mission is to help create a stronger and better next generation of financial service professionals by directly addressing the barriers to entry, support, mentorship, and access issues that hold this industry back.
We currently work with 40+ colleges and universities to support 200 students per year through our two cohorts. We look forward to growing that number of academic partners and up-and-coming NextGen students!
