Mentorship

Not everyone has access to a great mentor early on in their career. Mentorship has been shown to directly impact professional success. We remove this barrier by providing all student and graduate members access to a financial services mentor.

Community

Our mission is to provide a community of professionals to support the NextGen. By surrounding you with leaders and providing access to industry conferences we are building a lifelong network for up-and-coming financial service professionals.

Supporting The NextGen of Finserv Professionals

NextGen Finanical Services Program

Financial services provides a critical service to millions of Americans. However, there are huge barriers to entry and success in the profession. If we want Americans to have better access to financial planning, more secure retirements, and a healthier financial future we need to attract a more diverse, inclusive, and driven group of young professionals to the profession.

The issues.

  • Retention: Firms struggle to retain and attract young up-and-comers. But if you take a half-step back and look at the talent pipeline...that's not surprising. Too many young professionals enter the industry with a sink-or-swim mindset. They lack community, mentorship, and coaching...all of which aid in retention.
  • Access: If you do not come from wealth or a professional, career-focused family setting, you might not see the financial industry as a viable, attainable vocation. This lack of access creates yet another pipeline squeeze for the profession.
  • Inclusion: Not only do we need to retain and attract the right talent, but we also need to ensure they feel seen and heard. Many professional jobs in financial services can be isolating and young professionals may feel they are outliers if they do not have a supportive built-in network.

What we provide.

  • Coaching: We have partnered with one of the best coaching programs in the country to provide two years of coaching solutions to young professionals to bridge their transition between school and their chosen vocation.
  • Mentorship: We have worked to create a vast network of financial service professionals, each unique in their background and expertise, to volunteer as mentors to every student who joins the program.
  • Community access: Each student has the opportunity to learn and engage with experts at a national industry conference, inclusive of airfare, accommodations, and meals. Cohorts will enjoy unprecedented access to experts and build networks that will last throughout their careers.
  • Internship opportunities: We have worked with strategic corporate partners to provide valuable, cross-functional internship opportunities to students accepted into the program.

Our goal and mission is to help create a stronger and better next generation of financial service professionals by directly addressing the barriers to entry, support, mentorship, and access issues that hold this industry back.
