She is also the host of the “First-Gen Realness” podcast. There, she engages in conversations with her fellow first-generation Americans in order to reinforce their value and immense contributions to the fabric of America. By fostering a sense of community, she hopes to remind her peers that they matter, their stories are important and they are not alone in attempting to navigate multiple cultures with grace.

assets; his funds were in the top of their Lipper category. He now provides solutions to
individuals and small businesses to attain their financial goals; and develops others to
do the same.
Danny, a professional speaker, has a TED Talk, delivered Keynote addresses,
presented at The New York Federal Reserve Bank, at Columbia University’s Teachers
College, has appeared on radio and podcasts, as well as a host of other venues to reach educators, parents, working professionals, entrepreneurs, and youth. He has been featured in the 8th- 10th editions of Who’s Who in Black Houston. And recently
named a finalist for HBCU Male Faculty of the year for 2017-18. He mentors youth,
promotes education, financial literacy, and serves on nonprofit boards. Danny is training
college students to counsel and teach financial literacy to their peers and youth.
Danny is a graduate of the Houston Black Leadership Institute (Class II), United Way’s Project Blueprint (Class XXXIV) and Leadership Houston (Class XXXVI). Danny’s
undergraduate degree is from Texas A&M University and attained a MBA from the University of Houston. Danny serves in the deacon ministry at Brookhollow Baptist Church, and is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. The native Houstonian is
the joyous and blessed husband of LaJuande’ and proud father of Danny and Dylan.
